ACIDIZING AND PRODUCTION ENHANCEMENT
Divert-TechTM Divert-Tech is an acid system composed of a strong mineral acid and a surfactant package that forms in-situ diversion with virtually no residual damage. When the surfactant is added to the acid, a very weak gel results, offering the benefits of reduced friction pressure while pumping. As the acid reacts with a carbonate formation, the fluid becomes highly visco-elastic, creating a temporary crosslinked gel diverting subsequent acid stages into less permeable zones. Because a surfactant is used rather than a synthetic polymer, no damaging residue is left in the formation. The gel is stable to 100°C (212°F). If required at higher temperatures, Trican's AI-7NRTM can be used to boost the performance. Common iron control agents can also be used, depending on the application.
