Trican ASCTM (acid soluble cement blend) Trican ASC and ASC TS (thermally stable) were developed for the cementing of horizontal laterals for unconventional gas wells. Fracture initiation problems are reduced when fracturing through non-cemented horizontal sections compared to cemented sections. Designed with acid-soluble material, Trican ASC will allow the cement to be removed from around the perforated intervals while maintaining zonal and perforation cluster isolation.
